Finding time to read can be surprisingly difficult when school, work, family responsibilities, and other hobbies compete for attention. Even people who genuinely enjoy books sometimes go weeks without finishing anything.
What helps you make reading a regular part of your routine? Do you read before bed, during a commute, on weekends, or whenever you get a few quiet minutes?
I’m interested in realistic habits rather than strict schedules. For example, does keeping a book nearby help, or do you prefer reading at a particular time of day? How do you get back into a book after taking a long break?
Share what has worked for you, including approaches that didn’t work. A useful reading routine should make books more enjoyable, not turn them into another task on a to-do list.

I think making reading easy to start is more useful than setting a huge daily target. Keeping my current book somewhere visible means I can pick it up when I have a spare moment. If I have to find the book, clear my desk, and set aside an entire hour, I’m much more likely to postpone it.

Has anyone tried audiobooks alongside printed books? I find that different formats suit different situations. Reading a physical book is great when I can sit down quietly, while an audiobook can make certain everyday activities more interesting. I’m curious whether other readers count both formats toward their reading goals.
