Reading challenges can be a great way to discover new authors and stay motivated throughout the year. At the same time, tracking every book and trying to reach a particular number can sometimes make reading feel more like a competition than a hobby.
Do you set an annual reading goal, track the books you finish, or simply read whatever catches your attention?
It would be interesting to compare different approaches. Some readers enjoy a numbered challenge, while others set goals around exploring new genres, reading more classics, revisiting favorite authors, or spending more time away from screens.
If you’ve tried both structured goals and a more relaxed approach, which one helped you enjoy reading the most? I’d also like to hear how you handle a reading slump or a book you decide not to finish.
